Alcohol & Substance Abuse Recovery

Each person’s recovery process is different and an individual plan is drawn according to the type of addiction, the treatment plan best suited to their condition and personal attributes of the client seeking recovery.

The processes involved include:

1. INTAKE

During intake, you will get the opportunity to have a discussion on what our Centre has to offer for drug de-addiction. Concurrently you will be asked some questions about yourself, the type of addiction, undergo medical examination and some diagnostic tests to ascertain which program best fits you.

2. DETOXIFICATION

The aim of detox is to remove all traces of alcohol and drugs from your body. Medications are given and some maintenance drugs may also be used to counter any withdrawal symptoms that may arise. The duration of this stage is dependent on the type of addiction, severity and duration of the addiction, and the individual’s body composition.

3. REHABILITATION

This is the stage where individuals get to the main reasons behind their addictions. Our professionals guide the patients into their deeper self to unearth these issues so that they can be addressed and allow the individual to move on with their lives without the need for alcohol or other drugs of addiction. It involves different aspects of individual, group and family therapy

4. RECOVERY

This is an outpatient aftercare program that transitions the patient to their normal life. For many individuals, recovery is a lifetime journey requiring all the support necessary to avoid falling back to the addiction. At this stage individuals undergo weekly therapy sessions, support systems are built, linkages created and clients are deeply involved in the community reintegration program.
